BEGINNER'S
MODERN CALLIGRAPHY COURSE
The beginner's modern calligraphy course is specifically designed for those who have no prior knowledge or feel their foundation is shaky. Our goal is to firmly establish the basics so you can confidently pursue your newly learned hobby or your mindfulness tool to quiet your constantly working mind.
The materials we use in the course have been carefully selected for beginners to use comfortably. The booklets, on the other hand, have been meticulously designed for you, and you can only find these booklets in this course.
Content
We start the course by learning what calligraphy is and familiarizing ourselves with calligraphy materials. To maintain a strong foundation, we cover topics such as posture, pen grip, and finding the slant. Afterward, we work on the basic strokes that are the building blocks of calligraphy and practice until we are sure we have thoroughly learned them. Here, we have a homework session where we both check the homework and address any unclear areas. This way, we maximize the benefits of the online course.
Once the basic strokes are well learned, we move on to learning how to form lowercase letters. Here, the principles of forming lowercase letters are thoroughly learned through ample repetition and homework sessions. Then, we work on uppercase letters and numbers, learning their differences from lowercase letters.
After learning the uppercase letters, we work on uppercase-lowercase letter combinations and syllables formed from lowercase letters.
After ensuring that stroke combinations are well learned, we move on to learning words. This is our most exciting lesson, as we reap the rewards of what we've learned. During word exercises, we look at exceptions and rules that may challenge students, and then we do sentence exercises with plenty of practice.
In our final lesson, to reinforce what students have learned, they are asked to write examples based on their own knowledge, rather than following a template. At this stage, we use tracing paper, a different type of paper, so students also get to enjoy trying different materials.
We conclude the course with a brief introduction to an intermediate-level course.

Materials
Course's duration is 18 hours in total.
15 Hours course + 3 Hours Homework Session.
Each course lasts 2 hours and each homework session lasts 1 hour.

-If a student individually doesn't understand a topic, we'll compensate by providing video explanations or private lessons.
